Google Street View

“Street View, we drive exactly once,” Schmidt said, referring to the vehicles mounted with cameras sent out to take photos for the service. “So, you can just move, right?” After a brief, subsequent exchange with co-host Kathleen Parker, Schmidt laughed, making it unclear whether the remark was made in jest.

The executive added in reference to Street View that “the important point is we only do it once,” and that “this is not a monitoring situation.”

A Google spokesman said in a statement: “The point Eric [Schmidt] was making is that our Street View service provides only a static picture in time, and doesn’t provide real-time imagery or provide any information about where people are. Of course, we also allow users to request that their home be removed from Street View.”

Apparently, Google has been hit by yet another perplexing problem. The public is now accusing Google of monitoring their movement.

But on hindsight, like what Google mentioned, they only drove past once and captured the image once.

Its not like they drive past once every 2 weeks or a month to see how much your house has changed. The public really needs to calm down. If they are really so anal about all these implementations, they cannot be part of this world.

The world is changing and we are a part of it.

Like what Google said, if you don't like it, you can jolly well move away.

Sounds like a pun, but I think Google really meant it because they probably had enough of all those nonsensical complains.

Good luck to Google. They might have even more problems in the future.

Dinner at SOFRA

I went out with my army gang for a dine-out at SOFRA.

Its actually at Shaw Towers level 2, a mere 3 minutes walk away from Bugis Junction.

The food are mainly based on a Turisk cuisine and surprisingly, I thought it was really fantastic.

I had SOFRA Fish which I would definitely recommend to you guys because the fish is just so soft and tender. The meat is so refreshing and spicy to the right extent.

As usual, there was a lot of catching up to do.

Samuel will be going to Tokyo with his "Red Moon Cosplay Gang" and I'm super jealous because he gets to go to Tokyo :(

Jaryl is having a fantastic time with Jenson at NUS. Apparently he's doing some tranny theatrical drama for his play and I thought it was really fantastic, considering he has this really wonderful tutor, Nora who is apparently the best of all his drama teachers.

Wei Kuan is as usual, excelling at his programming and doing a fantastic job with his mentor, Shufen.

Dominic is apparently having a great time at SurfGold with him winning at his Halloween event.

David is having a great time at UK with his China-gang. He will be back in December and hopefully we can meet up to have a great time before he leaves for UK again.

Zhi Qi is apparently having a lot of fun in his lectures and tutorials with a mixture of tutors from all over the world.

Yeah, overall it was a fantastic night. Sometimes, we really need a random meetup and lots of laughter once in a while.

That way, all our stress will be eliminated and we are all rejuvenated at the end of the day.

So happy that we had so much fun yesterday! Now, I'm all energised for the 2nd half of the Semester.

Wish me luck ! Accounting Exam next Monday :):)

SNSD Hoot MV

Behold everyone.

This is the latest MV for SNSD's MV, "HOOT"

The MV was certainly well worth the wait!
On a side note, people have been asking about the cowboy/cowgirl western theme, and SM Entertainment is either very clever, or it was a complete coincidence, but…if you look closely at the hangul for “Hoot”, you should be able to notice that it looks like a person with a cowboy hat on.

Happy Day

Today is kinda a happy day :).

Handed up the 2000 word essay on Business Law. I pray hard that I will do well for it. I've worked hard for it.

The tutor updated us about our Class Participation grade thus far and miraculously i got an A. I was over-zealous about it and for the entire lesson, I was so pumped up that I kept on answering spontaneously. I think motivations along the way is imperative and it will definitely give students a morale boost in this stressful environment.

Really happy because the class participation has a heavy weightage of 20% of our overall score.

As for my Accountancy's Class Participation, I only received a Good which is actually Band 2. I assumed that it's because I have yet to do my presentation for Accounting (which counts towards Class Participation). If not, I will really be devastated because I really put in a lot of effort in offering solutions in class all the time.

Cheers to that! Greatest source of motivation for today: I finally saw my nemesis by the name of Gremlin after so many weeks in school :)

Noma, the New No. 1

Wow, surprise surprise,
El Bulli has finally left its throne. Its no longer number 1. One of the possible reasons could be because the chef is on a hiatus right now looking for new inspirations for his menu.

But then again, look who's the new Number 1 now, Its Noma Restaurant.

Noma is a homage to soil and sea, a reminder of the source of our food. Take his starter of crunchy baby carrots from the fertile Lammefjorden region of Denmark, served with edible “soil” made from malt, hazelnuts and beer, with a cream herb emulsion beneath – you are literally eating the earth!

Great restaurants are a blend of sophisticated cooking, imaginative ideas and respect for ingredients. Noma is more than this. It’s a experience that reminds you why some restaurants deserve to be revered, and why we created this list.

This restaurant sounds really awesome right? Based on the creativity and the quality of the food displayed, it is no wonder it is ranked top in the entire world.

However, my concern here is that when I visited their website, there were not much animations. In fact, to be honest, there were not many pictures. I'm no gastronomic but I trust that if there were pictures, it will surely entice their customers more to drop by to enjoy the experience that will be put forward to them.

Nonetheless, I wish Noma the best of luck and hopefully when El Bulli makes its comeback. It will be able to sustain its position.

SNSD 3D Genie

Wow, check out SNSD's latest 3D Genie MV

It seems very real. You don't even need the 3D glasses and it looks like its 3D already.

This could be the new uprising market for MVs.
