Become influence-able by listening

"When you really listen, you come influence-able. And being influence-able is the key to influencing others."

Get down to the level of understanding to build trust and loyalty.

Misunderstandings often occurs as a result of the lack of communication between both parties.

How often do we listen to understand? Not often. We are all interested in telling stories but more often than not, we are not heard by the other parties.

We are often interrupted or distracted along the way. Seldom do we actually get to finish out story and get the satisfaction which we had anticipated.

Think back for a while. When was the last time you had told your own story and afterwhich, managed to receive the kind of reaction you had hoped for ?

Then again, when was the last time when you had actually listen to someone closely right till the end, giving the speaker the due respect and reaction that is expected? Or were you merely adamant about what he had just said because you were to eager to tell your own story?

Give and take. That's the basic of business.

Learn to listen first before you expect the others to listen to you.

SNSD's friend Hachi

SNSD releases new track for My Friend Haechi

Looks like a cute cartoon.

It's quite smart to market SNSD's cute and lively image this way.

Considering the fact that its hard for the other artists to sing the OST for kids' cartoon.

NDP 2010.

Some of the pictures from this year's NDP 2010 at Padang.

Photo credits to Photographer Ng Chin Keong :)

To be honest, it was really spectacular. One of the best so to speak.

The performances were magnificent and orderly.

Parachuters diving down

Some were able to land right in the middle of the stage. Really impressive.

In addition to that, the display of the military vehicles were really awe-inspiring though I know its pretty much "you know what".

Hahahahaha. Oh well, I had fun this year. Its really different experiencing it live, as compared to watching it on Channel 5.

Boa's MV for Hurricane Venus

It's finally here.

The highly anticipated MV "Hurricane Venus" of the kpop queen, Boa.

I have also made some effort to crop out some of the goddess scenes in the MV for your perusal.

Enjoy

Enjoy.

The dramatic effects are awesome and the dance choreography is close to perfect.

From my point of view, it seems like Boa is being trapped in a glass panel.

As expected of Boa. Once again, yet another masterpiece.

Marketing : Anticipating Needs.

Marketing isn't just about selling and advertising

It's about identifying customers' needs and meeting those needs so well that the product almost "sell itself".

It is about anticipating their needs.

This explains why research and follow ups are so important. You need to follow the customers constantly to monitor any changes along the way in their needs. It can be affected by their surrounding, or your competitors.

Your customers will be more than willing to tell you what they dislike.

The problem is whether you are there to listen to them, to spot their unhappiness and displeasure towards your product.

Most of the time, the company per se knows very clearly whats wrong with the product but they are adamant about it. They ignore the fact that their product has something wrong and shut out the consumer's complains, thinking that its just a minority's opinions.

However, to their dismay, the number of dissatisfied customers increased exponentially. Soon, the satisfied customers come into contact with the dissatisfied ones and they are convinced that the product is indeed not impressive enough.

As time pass, everyone left and the company collapsed.

Moral of the story: Listen to understand. Do not run away from the problem. Be consistent.
