A while back,
Teen Top debuted on Music Bank with their new song "Clap Clap"
It was a song with a simple storyline that has captivated the likes of many. It was about 6 students who lost their loved girl, starring Lizzy from Afterschool, in a tragic plane crash. Afterwhich, they all went crazy for a moment due to the loss of their loved one.
It was really easy to understand as compared to other intricate storylines in other MVs these days.
Perhaps the fundamental reason as to why people like them is due to the fact that they are young and simple.
Their average age together is only 17.
Many netizens have commented that they are cool and they rock and stuff. They also mentioned that they should stay the way they are for now. Do not show abs. Do not wear revealing clothes. Basically, do not grow up so quickly.
The company for this group seems to be listening to them and they have recently released a video showing how much fun they are actually having with helium gas.
Take a look at the below. Its a good marketing strategy for it really shows that they are really still 17 and that's not being childish at all.
In fact, it's great.

100723 Music Bank - SHINee's Comeback with Lucifer + Up&Down
SHINee has finally made their comeback on Music Bank after a long hiatus(6 months I think?) from the Kpop scene.
To be honest and perfectly fair, they are indeed a force to be reckon with in the Kpop scene.
Their rendition of Lucifer is definitely unprecedented and full of vigour.
They are definitely here to stay for quite some time. The other groups will have to find their own edge before they get eliminated.
Also, not forgetting this week's winner, Miss A, my favourite as usual. Not only have won Mnet Countdown yesterday, they have also took the top prize home today as well on Music Bank.
This time round, Min from Miss A handled the win with much more charisma and poise. She totally broke down yesterday on Mnet Countdown man. But then again, it goes to show that they have really work very hard and that they are still humans at the end of the day, with feelings and emotions and all.

Check out the epic concert coming up in September
The artist lineup will consist of, KANGTA, BoA, U KNOW, MAX, SUPER JUNIOR, GIRLS’ GENERATION, SHINee, f(x), Zhang Li Yin, Trax and a few other SM artists. The lineup just blew me away. I mean this is like the epitome of synergy.
What can be better than this company called SM Entertainment. They are genius when it comes to marketing and groupings.
I'm very impressed. Definitely one of the company that is mind-blowing in the media industry.

Way too good. I expect the tickets to be sold out immediately once the sales open.
The organiser had better make sure the system doesn't crash because it will be sold out once the system opens for sale.

Finale post about Inception
Okay, the previous post was really evil wasn't it ?
Haha, let's add some levity into this blog before you all start to think that I'm a criminal.
Its kinda dangerous in the real world. So becareful.
Okay, since we know how the rest can attack us now. Let's discuss how we can set up defences for our subconscious against those ideas that people will try to plant in us.
This happens in the movie as well.
Fischer was actually trained to set up a fortress of cadre soliders to defend against any animosity he sensed in his dreams to prevent others from planting ideas in his mind.
Similarly, we can train ourself to fight against these ideas that people try to impose on us.
But the problem is how?
Well, the trick is to tell yourself something you want to do and are proud of every day.
But you have to look at the timings as well. Research has shown that the two best time is when you wake up and when you are about to fall asleep...
Record your own voice and listen to it everyday where you wake up and when you are going to fall asleep.
Also, it must be a definite statement, it must not be a possiblity or a projection.
For instance, I am a winner. I am successful. I am skilled, knowledgeable and capable.
Not I will be a winner, I will be successful or I will become smarter and more capable.
The latter are merely postulations that are not true and will most likely not happen.
You have to tell your brain that you are successful already. This is a form of deception to trick your mind too. The best part is that your mind will not be able to discern whether you are already successful or not.
You simply have to tell it that you are successful. That way, it will accept it readily that you are indeed successful.
In the future, no matter what you do, it will execute it in the way you tell it.
For instance, I am amiable and people love me. I am skillful and capable. The way you do things will then be more efficient and of course professional and steady.
Continue to set up a multitude of defences so when people tell you that you are a loser or incapable and pathetic. Your defences will be immediately be set up to deflect these negative statements.
The more you tell yourself, the stronger your defences become. The fortitudes constructed will be able to withstand criticisms for you have a pillar of faith to lean on.
If it's weak, it will most probably be easily destroyed.
For example, notice how some people have a propensity to take control and command of a statement?
You mentioned that the movie is not bad. Then he followed by saying it that I beg to differ. Look at those parts, it was left unexplained. The audio wasn't really perfect either and the graphics seem to be blurred at some parts of the movie and the projections are way too fast.
The key is to take control of the conversation. The stronger player can easily pull the other player towards him by making him agree with him.
The weaker one will naturally be dragged over and he will lose his opinion very quickly as he starts to doubt himself about the statement he just made. Then he will start to lean towards the other party.
Freaky isn't it? Oh well, that's some of the points that I can derive from the Movie Inception.
There are more but I guess its better for you to go watch it yourself and have your own opinions on it.
Enjoy. It's an incandescent masterpiece.

Inception, let's talk about ideas
What's the most contagious virus in the world?
AIDS? Malaria? SARs?
Nope, it's IDEAS.
It's something like a seed, that when planted, will grow so rapidly that you can never remove it ever again.
Once it's concrete, it sinks deep within like a virus that infects the mind and it's existence is perpetual.
In the movie, Leonardo has the role to plant an idea into the CEO's son's mind. The idea is to make him go and create a business for himself, to not inherit his father's business. This process is called Inception.
The problem now is that they are to make him, Robert Fischer, plant the seed himself.
Why must he plant the idea seed himself? Well, it's because if other people give you an idea, your brain will trace back to its origin.
That way, your brain will tell you that it's merely an opinion of what others are thinking about you. It simply won't stick as deep as those ideas which you have thought about yourself.
Hence, their role is to create an environment so perfect that Fischer's subconscious mind will not reject. Instead, they have to lead him to the deepest abyss of his dreams, almost up to 4 layers, a dream within a dream within a dream within a dream.
Once he has planted the idea that he needs to be independent deep enough. It will stay there for good. Never will he be able to extract it.
But it is not so easy to lead him to plant the seed by himself. Hence, they have garnered a strong team of 6 just to abet Fischer to have the idea of being independent.
Ultimately, he has to open the safe himself. It is simply pointless to tell him to be independent. He has to think that he has to be independent himself. Thay way, the idea will stick and grow its roots.
From this point, we can actually employ this tactic in real life.
Remember how people criticise you and you get so pissed when you think of it again when you reached home?
Let me give you an example.
Wow, you are so good looking, but the problem is you are too short and fair for a guy, I don't think you will win against those tall guys in terms of the overall image.
The trick here is to strategeically praise him first. Then you criticise him. You should never criticise him all the way for that will not get to him.
He will think that whatever you said are just crap.
The part where you say that he's good looking is to agree with his subconscious. The idea is to be congenial with his subconscious first so that it will not reject you. He knows that he's good looking already so by telling him that again. His subconscious will tell him that you are a reliable person and you have good judgement.
Afterwhich, when you tell him that he's short and too fair. He will start to think about it by himself.
Am I really too short and fair? This is not strong enough.
Remember the point whereby you have to plant the idea many layers down in the dream (up to 3 in the movie).
Similarly, one person's judgement will not suffice to make him think that he's a loser because he's too short and fair.
What you are doing here is merely helping him to grow the insecurity, that he is too short and fair. Introduce the idea to him. Ultimately, he has to plant this idea by himself.
The trick here is to find some other friends. They can tell him things like if only you are taller, I'm sure all the girls will love you and you will be a star. But what a pity, you are too short.
This time round, it will somehow affirm him of the fact that it's really a bad thing to be too short and the best part is that he can't do anything about it.
The thing about height is that once you reached a certain age, it is impossible to grow taller. This way, he's unable to extract this idea out once he has planted it in his mind. He can't do anything about it and soon he will feel helpless whenever he looks in the mirror and realises that he is just too short.
The fact that he's good looking will also be blurred by the fact that he's too short.
But that's not really enough. The last thing to do is to get more strangers who are not in your clique to tell him that he's too short.
For instance, get his colleagues at his workplace or his schoolmates or his relatives to tell him that he's too short.
Continue to reinforce the idea that he's too short.
After a while, the more he look at the mirror, the more he will start to think that he's too short.
There will be a point in time whereby he will finally start to implant the idea that he's too short. At first, it will be in the first layer, as time pass, it will sink into the second layer. As more and more people reinforce his new-found insecurity, it will sink into the third layer and maybe the fourth.
It is possible to remove the insecurity but it is not applicable in this area.
I can give you an example of how you can remove it but the thing is that you cannot remove it completely at the end of the day. In fact, you can alleviate it at most.
For instance, when you were young, you were very fat, everyone was mocking you and laughing and how fat you are, big belly, no physique, ugly body shape. Then you start to train up, exercise, and even run everyday.
After a few years, you become fit and your body shape improves by a mile. Then people start to praise you for your physique and you will feel better about yourself the more they praise you.
The insecurity that you are fat starts to be extracted slowly. It jumps from the 4th layer back to the 3rd and slowly to the 2nd and finally to the weakest 1st layer.
But the trick here is that the moment someone said that you are getting fatter. It will hit you so hard that it might trigger off a slippery slope. The spectre of your fear will start to come back and haunt you.
You were so traumatized in the past that the moment someone say that you are fat, you get hit so hard that the idea starts to sink back to the 2nd layer.
You will then get super paranoid and you look at the mirror and you think, "Yeah, I am getting fatter again. What am I going to do?" Then you will start to exercise extremely vigorously until that person who criticised you say that you are slimmer now.
If that day never comes, you will just keep getting more and more insecure.
Sounds really nefarious and evil isn't it?
It sounds like psychology right? This are just some of my personal thoughts about how you can actually implant and reinforce ideas in people.
I do see how my friends are actually affected by criticisms. Even those really slights ones, i.e. you are really fair these days, guys don't look good when they are fair. Immediately, he went to tan.
Or maybe, your cheeks are getting fatter and your thighs seems to be bigger now.
Or your right cheek seem to be higher than your left cheek.
All these comments will cause the victim to get really paranoid. He will start to look into the mirror and see if his right cheek is really higher than his left cheek.
The thing is that this is something he has never been able to identify in the past. He has never noticed that his right cheek is higher than his left cheek. But the moment you mention it and further elaborate on how it makes him look ugly. It will get to him.
He will feel helpless particularly because he is not able to make his right cheek on the same level as his left cheek unless he goes for a surgery.
Okay, this post is getting really long. I shall end it off by saying that it is not really difficult to implant an idea in a person.
As the old adage goes, you can make a person and you can also break a person.
Praise him all the way and he will begin to trust you and your judgement. Afterwhich, attack him constantly because he will believe whatever you say for he has already trusted your judgement.
AIDS? Malaria? SARs?

My review and ruminations about the Movie "Inception"
Hello all, first and foremost, thank you for taking the time to read this post.
Without further ado, I will begin on my thoughts about this movie.
Leonardo (Cobb) mentioned an interesting point about dreams.
"You always have the propensity to remember the middle part of the dream but you can never remember the beginning of it."
It's almost impossible to trace back where it emanates from. You have completely no idea as to how you get there in the first place. Enigmatic isn't it? No matter how hard you try to think, you can never guess it right.
The key here is that as long as the the beginning is obfurscated, the middle plot will seem real and the subconscious mind will accept it until the point in time where it can actuaully detect any pecularitiesi or things that are not in line with the subconscious's reality.
What do I mean by something not in line with the subconscious's reality? Well, it means that he knows that this is cleary impossible and cannot be done. For example, jumping out of a building and surviving after that without any pain.
It depends on the extent of the unusualness as well. The mind might be able to accept it initally but fortresses are slowly being set up as things get more and more peculiar.
Once you get pass the threshold of the subconscious's mind, it retaliates fiercely and the architect who sets up the dream will be attacked.
Since I'm a business student, I will like to relate this point to another point in the movie.
That is references and research. All these are done by this person called Arthur. He's the point man in the movie in charged of researching the team's target.
In business, it's the same thing. We do research about what our clients like and dislike. We don't dash straight into a meeting talking about things we want to say. Rather, we put across our points and aims in the way the clients want it to be.
We need to understand how they will respond to our presentations and also, we need to be able to penetrate through them.
What do I mean by that? We need to understand their concerns, their worries and what they are looking for; their criterias so to speak.
If you step into their comfort zone, they will be cool with you. However, once you triggered off their pain zone, something they hate to see, i.e. constant rattling about how good your product is and how they must buy it, they will be turned off immediately.
This is the same concern for the architect, which is the role of Ariadne (Ellen Page).
She has to construct a dream world to keep the subconscious's mind in loops and familiarity. She must not create something that allows him to be able to discern what's real and what's not.
It must be an environment so smooth and calming that the subconscious's mind will not be offended or disturbed.
This is like business. You have to create an environment that allows your clients to comfortably express their concerns. Give them a chance to speak up and also you have to lead them to your door.
Test the water with a few questions and try to identify their concerns. Do not assume for you are only going to make an ass out of yourself.
Identify the emotion changes on their face along the way and how they respond. They all play a part in telling you how they actually feel about your presentations.
This of course comes with experience. It is not a one-time pony trick. You need to go through tonnes of practices before you can become a veteran at identifying their concerns in a glance.
Typically, sales person will just keep going and going on their own without giving a damn about what their clients are thinking about.
Before they know it, they are already not listening anymore.
This dream thingy taught me that it is extremely pivotal to create an environment where your clients are comfortable in. Where they are able to be themselves and in turn, switch off all their defences and leak out their vulnerable side so that you can attack it.
When they let it out, you can start to relate to them. Better still, they will start to speak up on their own. From then on, you just have to be a good listener and listen to understand. Let them talk and take note of every single details they say for they are what made up their personalities and of course, their concerns.
Once he feels insecure or intruded, his subconscious will stare at you and barriers will be set up and you will be killed.
Then the presentation ends.
That's briefly what I feel about the point whereby you have to create an environment to keep the subconscious in loops for as long as possible to circumvent capture.
Up next, I will be talking about another in the movie, actually it's de facto the epitome of the movie per se, "Ideas".
See you tomorrow !

Cast of Inception
In this post, I will feature the cast of this phenomenal film made by venerable director Christopher Nolan.
In the next few posts, I will write about my thoughts on this film. Stay tuned if you are interested :)
The film is about Dom Cobb, a thief who has the power to enter into the dreams of others by thrusting himself into the subconscious of his targets, thus obtaining information that is otherwise impossible to access
The film's title refers to the task of planting an idea rather than stealing one, a concept that Cobb is less acquainted with.
Leonardo DiCaprio as Dom Cobb, the Extractor – a man who specializes in subconscious security, but steals his clients' ideas
Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Arthur, the Point Man – the person responsible for researching the team's targets
Ellen Page as Ariadne, the Architect – a college graduate student who constructs the world of the dream
Tom Hardy as Eames, the Forger – a sharp-tongued team member who impersonates the target within the dream world and forge an identity in a physical form
Marion Cotillard as Mallorie "Mal" Cobb, the Shade – Cobb's deceased wife, who manifests in the dreamscape beyond Cobb's control
Cillian Murphy as Robert Fischer, Jr., the Mark – the heir to a business empire and Dom's latest client and target
Ken Watanabe as Saito, the Tourist – a businessman who employs Cobb
Dileep Rao as Yusuf, the Chemist – the team member who formulates the drugs needed to enter the dream world
