Finally, its Starbucks' 40th Anniversary and they have decided to celebrate it with a new logo.

Howard Schultz says that new logo embraces and respects their identity plus evolves the company to a point that’s more suitable to the future.

In his letter on a preview site, Schultz says:
On any given day here in Seattle, I might visit that original Pike Place store – but I might also drop in at our newly refurbished Olive Way store. The two store designs couldn’t be any more different – one harkens back to our heritage, the other looks boldly ahead to our future – but at their core, they’re identical, in that they retain the elements that have been true about Starbucks since the very beginning:
- A unique retail experience that creates a Third Place for our customers between their homes and places of work
- A carefully crafted offering of the finest, high-quality coffees from around the world
- The emotional connection that our partners make daily with our customers.


Change is good. In fact, it's the essence of life. However, too often than not, many companies steer themselves in the wrong direction and begin to go off-track. In fact, they lose their direction altogether and end up closing down.

In today's society where competition is so viral, it is easy to start a business but definitely not easy to maintan and sustain one.


Starbucks has done a terrific job at sustaining its business for 40 years and the best part is that it sells coffee, a product that was once known to be a commodity that was so cheap.


In the past, people relied on coffee to energize themselves at work. But today, it has become an experience that people can relish. They enjoy a cup of coffee right at the start of their day, during their tea breaks or even when they are chilling somewhere in the middle of the night.


Coffee has become ubiquitous, Starbucks' Coffee that is.


The most important point about the new logo is that Starbucks is going to continue to focus on its core values, and its key business objective.


That is to provide the consumer with a third place, between their work and home, for them to enjoy themselves. They offer the highest quality coffee in the world and a retail experience that one will never get sick of.


With the unique yet focused experience, along with an immutable core value, Starbucks will definitely be here to stay as it has clearly created a competitive edge that has been unbeatable thus far.
